EAS constantly invests in quality and installs the new AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) machine for THT (through-hole) components. It is an innovative solution for the automated optical inspection of components with through-hole mounting on printed circuit boards.
This AOI is able to detect and classify the quality of solder joints, the presence, polarity and marking of components, both SMD and THT, with high precision and speed. It is based on 3D imaging technology, this technology allows you to acquire three-dimensional images of components and welds. The 3D images are then processed by powerful software that uses computer vision and artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze the geometric and morphological characteristics of the components and welds. Furthermore, the machine is able to perform inspections on both sides of the board at the same time, thanks to the cameras positioned on both the top and bottom sides.
This new AOI integrates seamlessly with our existing inspection systems, including SPI, AOI SMD 2D/3D and X-Ray 3D, ensuring complete inspection coverage across all processes.
The AOI machine for THT components offers numerous advantages over traditional manual visual inspection methods:
